In order to stimulate the scientific imagination and artistic creativity of teenagers and implement the integrated education of scientific literacy and aesthetic education, on March 18th, 2026, our school held a school-level selection activity for teenagers' science fantasy paintings. Through professional evaluation and fair selection, a number of outstanding works with novel ideas, rigorous science, and vivid pictures emerged, which will represent our school to participate in the municipal science fiction painting competition.
To begin with, this solicitation activity was conducted for all students of our school, during which students actively participated and meticulously created their works, focusing on themes such as future technology, ecological protection, space exploration, intelligent life, and green energy. Moreover, they used their brushes to depict their scientific visions of the future world. In the meantime, the forms of the works included watercolor, colored pencils, markers, and mixed media paintings, with full compositions and vivid colors, which not only presented bold imagination but also closely adhered to scientific principles, fully demonstrating the innovative thinking and artistic literacy of our school's students.
Furthermore, at the selection site, the review panel composed of art teachers from each department strictly evaluated all the works according to four criteria as follows: creative conception, scientific content, artistic expression, and theme relevance, which gave each work a score and conducted a comprehensive assessment. After three rounds of rigorous selection - preliminary screening, re-evaluation, and final review - 32 outstanding works were finally selected to advance to the municipal competition. Additionally, these works focused on core concepts such as promoting positive use of technology, creating a future that is livable, and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. More remarkably, the works were rich in thoughtfulness, scientificity, and artistry, thus fully demonstrating the scientific vision and national sentiments of the teenagers in the new era.
In conclusion, not only did this science fiction painting selection activity provide a platform for students to showcase their creativity and talents, but also ignited their interest in science through artistic means and cultivated their innovative spirit. More noticeably, Anqing Foreign Language School will continue to promote the integration of technology and aesthetic education, encouraging students to have the courage to imagine, explore, and participate in scientific and technological innovation practices with greater enthusiasm so that our students can showcase their talents and achieve outstanding results on a higher stage.
